The Micah campaign

The Micah campaign took place in the Netherlands from September 2006 to July 2007. Tear was one of the initiators of this project and its coordinator. The campaign was part of the international Micah Challenge. Churches, organisations and individuals joined this campaign on a large scale, calling on Christians to take responsibility for poverty and injustice in the world and to do something about it.

The project took the form of articles, magazines, workshops, lessons, theme weekends, church services, projects and campaigns. The www.michacampagne.nl website made lots of information and material available for people to work with. Once the campaign year was completed, it was decided to continue the campaign on a slightly different basis, with several organisations jointly bearing responsibility for the campaign.
