Programme content:

The programme fights structural poverty by equipping the local population with knowledge and resources to improve their agricultural work, develop other income-generating activities and stimulate other ways of development.

• Conducting more than 1,400 training events in the area of improved agricultural techniques, production of handicrafts, conservation of natural resources, etc.
• Educational activities involving more than 1,000 children.
• Helping local communities to plant thousands of trees in different areas in Peru.
• Building the capacity of four organisations in Peru that work in the area of food security.

Target group: 2,500 families (average family: six people)

Small-scale enterprise

Programme content:

• Conducting 80 workshops in the area of small-scale enterprise.
• Planting trees and producing more than 2,000 seedlings a year.
• Setting up geese-breeding farms and small-scale vegetable gardens.
• Providing 50 scholarships for young people.
• Training 200 leaders of local organisations.

Target group: 2,530 families in Lima (average family: six people)
