Healthcare

Tear´s commitment in 2008: €10,000

Partner: INF

Programme content:

The health programme in the district of Jumla supports the local government in its efforts to provide a better service to its own population. INF provides training for the staff at various clinics and health posts. Clinics are, for example, supported in the areas of pregnancy checks, mother and child care, nutritional education and the treatment of malnourished children. Thanks to greater access as the civil conflict has been reduced, new clinics further away from the district capital have been receiving support and training, while the programme phased out some of the clinics that had already been supported for some years.

Target group: 5,000 families

Education

Tear´s commitment in 2008: €20,000

Target group: 793 people
