Programme content:
TASK works with vulnerable groups in the slum areas of the capital, providing:
- support for people living with HIV/AIDS
- education programme for high-risk groups
- nutrition and medical programme for malnourished children
- drug rehabilitation programme for young people
- day care centre and education programme for disabled children
- community water and sanitation programme
Target group: 2,500 families living in the slums of Mean Chey in Phnom Penh

Training children’s workers (a 16-month course) to work with marginalised children.

Small-scale enterprise

Partner: Credit MFI
Programme content:
Credit MFI supports small business entrepreneurs with credit facilities. Tear supports its programme in the Siem Reap province in north-west Cambodia. Tear has contributed towards an improved management information and loan tracking system for more rapid and efficient handling of loans. In 2007 Credit opened its Vulnerable Service Unit, focused on providing credit to the poorest of the poor. A unique feature of this programme is Tear’s cooperation with a development agency focusing on the social and rural development aspects of the target group. Credit products for the target group were developed in 2007.
Target group: Kampong Cham province, with 350,000 families (average family: 4.5 persons)
